Our Legal Team
Our legal team is comprised of five full-time attorneys that collectively have over 50 years of experience in election law.
Don McTigue
Don founded the Firm in 1991 as a solo practitioner and is a partner of the Firm. He has 37 years of experience as an election law attorney and was once referred to as the “Gold Standard” in election law by a federal judge in a court ruling. Don is experienced in all facets of election and campaign finance law, including managing federal and state litigation, administrative hearings, and statewide and local ballot issues. Prior to going into private practice, he was the Chief Elections Counsel to the Ohio Secretary of State and Counsel to the Ohio Elections Commission. Don’s legal resume also includes work as an Assistant Ohio Attorney General, legal counsel in the State Auditor’s Office, and a civil rights attorney with a non-profit public interest law firm. He is a 1979 graduate of the Case Western Reserve University Law School.
Corey Colombo
Corey is the Managing Partner. He has been with the Firm since 2009 and has been a partner since 2014. He is experienced in all facets of election and campaign finance law, including federal and state litigation, administrative hearings, and statewide and local ballot issues. Prior to joining the Firm, Corey worked at both a large and a mid-sized Columbus law firm practicing in municipal and local government law, as well as worked as an intern in the Ohio Governor’s Office, Ohio Senate, and for a State Representative. He is a 2000 graduate of the Capital University Law School, where he was a member of the Law Review.
Tricia Roederer
Tricia started at the Firm in 2022 and is an Associate. She assists clients with campaign finance, non-profit, taxation, and governmental ethics matters. Tricia earned her JD from the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. Tricia also went to the Ohio State University for undergrad where she earned her bachelor's degree in World Politics with a specialization in Foreign Policy and Security. Prior to starting at the Firm, Tricia was a legal extern for Judge Richard Frye of the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas and the Ohio Legislative Service Commission.
Helen Lohre
Helen started at the Firm in 2023 and is an Associate. In 2024, she graduated from the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. In 2021, Helen also graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in Political Science. Before coming to the Firm, Helen had internships with the national ACLU and NAACP, as well as the Franklin County Municipal Court and the Ohio House Democratic Caucus.
Stacey Hauff
Stacey joined the firm as an Associate in 2024. She previously clerked for Judge Carly Edelstein at the Tenth District Court of Appeals and Judge Richard Frye at the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas. She graduated from the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law in 2018, where she served as a legal extern to the Ohio Senate Democratic Caucus and worked for the Columbus City Attorney's Office. Stacey is a member of the Franklin County Democratic Lawyers Club executive board and the former chair of the Columbus Bar Association's Common Pleas committee.
